Effective and Affordable Beauty Product Review

Hello beauty lovers! If you're anything like me you love makeup, but don't always like the prices. Well I've got great news for you! I took a trip to Walmart last week and picked out 3 popular and affordable make up products and tested them out for the week. I think I got lucky, seeing as each of these products turned out to be pretty great! If you're looking for a new foundation, lipstick, or quick way to contour continue reading! You'll find effective and affordable products!
Product:
Wet n Wild Dual-Ended Contour Stick (Light/Medium 751A)
Price:
$4.68
Pro's:
The cream texture and stick like structure of the product allowed for a smooth and quick appliance. The color was bold and showed up on my face the same way it appears on the box.
Con's:
Although the color showed up boldly at first when drawn on, once I started to blend it in, it blended a bit too well, almost to the point where it didn't show up anymore. After about 15 seconds of blending the color would disappear completely.
Overall Review:
Great product! Just don't blend too harshly or for too long.

Product:
Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation (Soft Beige 200)
Price:
$5.22
Pro's:
Covers up redness and dark spots, creates a matte finish, is long lasting, and is very light weight!
Con's:
None
Overall Review:
I love this foundation so much and now it's my everyday foundation! Cheap and effective.. the way make up should be!

Product:
Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick (Cinnamon Spice 917B)
Price:
$0.83
Pro's:
Appropriately named "Megalast." Throughout the day I only had to reapply it once! The color I chose blended well with my natural lip color and felt more like a lip balm than a lipstick. Perfectly smooth and moisturized rather than messy and sticky.
Con's:
None
Overall Review:
Wonderful product! Lasted long and is inexpensive! Everything the lipstick guarantees on the wrapping is what you get!

Like I've said multiple times, these are great products and I love them! The quality is outstanding and all three of them together costed me under $12! Highly recommended!

  1. It's great to find products that work that are also at a low cost. Skin care products can always be a hard product to buy depending on the cost. If the price is too low, people might feel the product is a lower quality than if it was priced a little higher. Some people might be hesitant to buy a product that is too expensive. You talked about being able to see the results in the product and I think that is very important when trying out new products.

  2. I always love reading reviews of inexpensive makeup! Don't get me wrong, I love the expensive stuff too, but I can't always afford what I want. I've been wanting to try and contour stick, and at that price I might as well give it a shot!

  3. Bobie this is so great! I pretty much swear by rimmel foundation, the stuff is amazing, cheap, and lasts forever!

I don't know if you are looking for some other products to review, but I think Hard Candy Glamoflauge is amazing, it is made with the coverage strength to cover tattoos and it would be super cool if you did a video using it to cover someones tattoo or even really bad acne/scars etc! And it's $6, you only need a drop and the tube lasts about 2 years from my experience!

I really like how you set up pros and cons. When it comes to photoshoots I always make sure that no matter how expensive the makeup is that my models look done up and ready to go! Check out my work at http://jennascarnecchia.com

  4. I loved this! A lot of times I'm too scared to try new products because I don't want it to be a total waste! But I love how you listed the pros and cons for the different products, it makes me want to go out and try that foundation!
