Hello beauty lovers! Everybody
loves expensive and high quality makeup, but is the expensive makeup actually
of a higher quality than the inexpensive makeup? I tried a MAC liquid matte
lipstick and a Maybelline liquid matte lipstick to find out. Here is what I found
after trying them both out for a day.

MAC Retro
Matte Liquid Lipcolour Lipstick
Price:
$20 (Macy’s)
Pro's:
The liquid
dried quickly once applied. It took about 30 seconds total for it to become
completely matte. Color lasted nearly all day. Easy to remove.
Con's:
The color
of the lipstick appeared a bit pinker than I had expected.
Although it lasted a long time, it would smudge quite often.
Overall

Product. Just make sure you have a napkin on you for cleaning up smudges.

New York Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Color (0.26 fl oz)
Price:
$6.39 (Wal-Mart)
Pro's:
The color
of the lipstick is as expected. Applies easily and removes easily.
Con's:
When I
first looked at this product it had multiple positive reviews, but when I tried
it on it was completely ineffective as a matte lipstick. The lipstick would not
dry and was quite sticky. I waited 5 minutes for it to dry and it never did!
Overall
Review:
A bit sticky,
but can work as a lip gloss, not a liquid matte lipstick.

Although the MAC liquid matte lipstick smudged often, it did give me a clean matte look. The Maybelline liquid matte lipstick was completely ineffective as a matte lipstick, but could be used as gloss. When it comes to these two products, sometimes the product is worth the price!
